2013-----A New Year

The new year  is here and I am making plans.
Since I am not in a mall space anymore,
and am not doing shows anymore, I am
taking January to organize my home/life.

This little Munchkin will help, I'm sure. See how
well she keeps the tissue paper in place?

More time needs to spent in the Potting Shed
this year.  I rarely had time to go out there
and just relax last year.

And I want time to take some little trips
and have adventures with this young man. :>)

As I look forward to spring, I will get things
organized, hopefully put another car in the
garage, and in Feb. I hope to get my Esty shop
really up and running.  I think I just needed a
break from all the junking frenzy of having a
space and doing shows......and then I jumped
right into Etsy!  Not a good move for me at the
time.  At 64, I have decided to do only those
things that I want to do, or love to do.  Not
the things I feel I "should" do for some stupid
reason.  So much of what we do just really
doesn't matter in the overall scheme of life.

So there I am.  I hope to have more fun blogging
with my new camera.  Although I had to find out
from Deb  how to upload these pictures to
blogger 'cause the regular way wasn't working.
Thank you Deb for your help!!!

Enough rambling...share your smile,
someone may need it!  :>)

Changes

Spring is coming...that is a change...

And I have disconnected my word
verification on my comment section.
Blogger has made it next to impossible
to read the darn "words" you must identify.

Hope this makes it easier on you and please
remember to share your smile  :>)

Spring has sprung!

These are signs that although it is still rather
chilly (32 a couple nights ago) spring has sprung.
The magnolia has bloomed.

The Japanese Maple has little buds. We are always
behind on spring because we live at just a little bit
of altitude and I am amazed at the difference it makes.

One precious little Trillium. They are a fav of mine.

The daffys in front are perked up and smiling.

And all these sweeties greet me at the door.

I got out in the yard today and cleared tree
debris and fir cones from around the hostas so
we can find them now. Only a few have their
little leaves up. Some of the ferns have many new
fronds. It is just a breath of fresh air to see these signs.

Now as I write the temp has gone down and
some darker clouds are coming in......but I know
that we have crossed the line into Spring!!

Happy Spring to you,

Annette

What?? Spring?????

What a beautiful spring sky. Bright blue with
very fluffy white clouds. This is the view
looking north..........but wait........

I turn around and look south and this is what
I see. The beautiful spring sky being overrun
with dark, dark, rain filled clouds. I hope your
Spring sky is the beautiful kind.

Till next time,

Annette

Spring

I long for spring.....am I the only one? Winter here in the NW
is cold and rainy. Much of the time the sky is gray...solid
gray. It makes me want to curl up and hide away. It
does not affect me well. Even though it is months away,
I long for spring!!!!!

Return from vacation.....

This is what greeted us upon our return home.

We had a wonderful vacation visiting my oldest brother
in FL. We got to see my niece and great niece who are both
just lovely.

We saw my nephew and his wife and great nephew, wife
and kids. And my nephews' wifes' daughter.
And we got to meet my brothers' girlfriend. She is
a treasure. They are so in love and happy and it just makes
me smile to think about them!

Then we moved on to GA. and visited my friend from
forever and her husband. They took us to see sights and
fed us like we hadn't eaten in months. One of the things
I do miss about living in the south is the cooking. My
friend cooked collard greens for me that were to die for!!

We made it home safely and both of us have a bad cold
and cough. The perils of travel. But I wouldn't trade it for
anything!! We didn't get to see everybody I had hoped but
it was up lifting to see family and friends that I haven't seen
in too long. I love them all and miss them.

Until next time,

Annette

Is it SPRING yet???

Today was a very pretty day for February in the Great
NorthWest. So I got "Spring Fever". This is the
Potting Shed...or as some refer to it...The Cottage. This
is my little space that I am supposed to share with my
husband. He wants to use part of it as a green house. We
still have to finish the inside with insulation and walls and
such...it already has a heater and an air conditioner. (Oh,
yes, it's The Cottage.)

As you may be able to tell I have moved in. This is all
my stuff! I started to get it ready to work on my things
for Andy's Attic. But then it got cold and the heater wasn't
strong enough to keep it warm without some insulation.
And this is where we store things for the winter. UGH.

But don't you see why I have Spring Fever??? I just want
to be out there with all my stuff!!

This is the workbench, or display bench, or place where
I put things that I like to have around.

And this is a closer view of one of my many collections...
....small flower pots.....many colors...many styles. This is
only the part of the collection that will fit on this particular
shelf. Oh, my, the more I blog about my collections, the more
concerned I get about how many there are and how much
"stuff" I have. But you understand, don't you?? How you
find that cute little pot shaped like a bunny and it would be
so sweet with the other pots and so it comes home with you?
I know someone out there understands this. And I walk in
to "The Cottage" and feel blissful, relaxed, and content.

So SPRING needs to get here so I can move the stored
summer furniture out of my Cottage and move myself in!!
What do you want to do when Spring arrives??

Until I blogitate again,

Annette
