on samplers. Hers are so lovely and are
red and white. I told her I had one my
mother had done in blue and she asked me
to share it. So, here it is:
Mother was born in 1909 and did this when she was 6. Her name was Nina F. Bachelder. The little duck is also blue but didn't show up quite right. This hangs in my guest room. |

how sweet, and how wonderful to still have it and hold it with so much love.
Hugs, Evi
Oh, I adore samplers! I'm in the process of making two of them myself--one old fashioned, in cross stitch (which I don't know how to do!), and one free form, 25 things that make me happy in tiny little squares. Your mom's is lovely--a sweet little treasure!
so pretty and cute!
Thanks for visiting the shop! We'll see at the Oswego antique Fair, if not sooner!
Awwww, that's so sweet!
That is really cool. I did one in 1982, it was a cold long winter. I will always remember that winter from that sampler. I hope my girls appreciate it someday. Hugs! Florence
