Spring
I long for spring.....am I the only one? Winter here in the NW is cold and rainy. Much of the time the sky is gray...solid gray. It makes me want to curl up and hide away. It does not affect me well. Even though it is months away, I long for spring!!!!!
I was thinking the same thing today since the dreaded 'inversion' has returned here. At least it's warmed up a bit! (I'm sitting rightnextto a space heater too).
I love the rain, but that first day with the hint of spring is magical...everyone is smiling and has a spring in their step. It is a coming. As to your photo I bought some potted hyacinth for my windowsill today...indoor spring!
Oh I agree, but it'll be here before you know it! And you'll probably get it before I do. I think we've still got some major snow to contend with over here before I can even begin to think about Spring!
I can't complain, really, except that it's been exceptionally rainy here and no one can deal with it (even my garden can't--standing puddles of water everywhere). At least it's not snow, say I--not a cold/snow person. It's beautiful, but not for me!
So far, I'm okay....I usually get the fever in March - which is actually spring for normal people but not for us! Are you going to Junk Salvation? I went to the one in Puyallup in October and it was wonderful.
Try candles Annette. There's something about a warm flame that warms you from the inside out during these gray days. I'll try and bring you back some sun..Lisa;-)
Annete, I agree, spring come soon! My "secret" to "forcing" spring, is to get a bunch of indoor projects lined up to finish, get the seeds started, and race the clock! It'll go faster if I stay really busy!
