Closing my Space

This is bittersweet for me.  After many years,
I am not going to have a space in a shop any more.
I have reached a point where I realize that doing
the space is not the fun it used to be.  I think I will give
Etsy a try very soon.  I will still have this blog.  As of Nov. first I will not longer be at Rusty Glamour.

In the meantime, everything in my space is at
50% off.  Everything.  The shop is in Battle Ground, WA
at 601 E. Main and is open every day except Sunday
from 10:00 to 6:00.  It is worth the trip because Rusty Glamour
is absolutely wonderful!!  It is full of so many treasures
it will take a while to make your way through it all.  Here
are a few snaps of things in my space.

A very old vacuum/sweeper.

Sweet child's lamp with music box that works.

Various bottles/jars

Bird prints

Bird lamp and cat book

Fun misc.

Old paper cutter

I will update what I'm up to next.  Till then, thank you to all
who have purchased from me.  You are the ones that have
made what I do worthwhile.

Please share your smile  :>)

Oh Annette,
I can hear through your words how hard this must be for you.
However, there is life after a mall/shop space so if you have any questions about Etsy please let me know.
I love it and for me in embraces the best of both worlds.
I get to sell the fun things I find and I don't have the high overhead of a shop (nor do I have to pay a % to a mall owner).
You call the shots, and you get most of the profits!
Best of luck to you...........

If it is not fun anymore, it is not worth doing! Happy to help with any Etsy questions if needed....
Sending a smile right back at you.

I'm sorry it is bittersweet for you. I think you will be happy with Etsy. Wish I was there to shop in your space! And I am wishing you the best of luck with your next venture.

And if you ever decide it might be fun again, you can always hop back in. I too am happy to help in any way with etsy. Funny, I was just thinking about paper cutters today (big stack of pages with only one side printed on to be cut up) and there one is. :-) xo

Annette, I am sure this choice was a hard one to make but Laurie is right. When It isn't fun anymore then it is time to move on to something new. I, too, am happy to help with Etsy questions and will be cheering you on in whatever you decide to do next!

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear this, but it's probably the right decision if it's not fun anymore. It's always been my dream to have a booth, but it's just not the right time, because they charge so much rent around here to have a space. We've got a daughter in college and I can't justify that rent if I don't sell enough to cover it and still make a profit. I hear lots of good things about Etsy, so it's worth a try. Whatever you do, please do what makes you happy!

I can imagine what you're going through...I always think I'd like to have a space somewhere, but lots of what ifs associated with it.

Etsy's great--join the party!

I love that bird lamp sooooo much!
