Friendship Friday

Today marks a new chapter in my life.  For
those who don't know, when you go on
Medicare, it starts the first day of your birthday month. For me that is today...I am now on
Medicare!
I began Andy's Attic when I had a space in a
mall and did shows.  I have phased that part out and also decided that I don't want to do any
on-line selling.  So, for now, Andy's Attic
is being retired.  I have another blog:
which I will start using for Friendship Friday.
But for today.....

I know I've never told you
In the hurried rush of days
How much your friendship helps me
In a thousand little ways;
But you've played such a part
In all I do or try to be,
I want to tell you thank you
For being friends with me.

The joy of being friends is just
a simple code of faith and trust,
a homey comradeship that stays
the threatened fear of darker days:
the kind of faith that brings to light
the good, the beautiful, and the bright:
and best and blest, and true and rare----
is having friends who love and care!

Friendship Friday

Today I am showing you the things I
won from Deb's blog Garage Sale Gal

This fits perfectly into the Friendship
Friday as I have made many "blogging"
friends over the years.  Deb is one of them.  I love her blog and the things she finds and was
thrilled to win her giveaway!!

Upon opening the box

I found a sweet card from Deb.

Tinker Belle decided she needed to
help me open things.

Except she wanted to chew instead of open!!

These are all the goodies that were included.

A sweet pink hanky, a lovely linen towel,
two little cards, and a chintz dish.

A couple of stickers, buttons and little
"tickets", precious little clothes pins,
an adorable toothpick with a chick in
an egg,  and a playing card with a house.

To top it off were two very sweet hand-
made cards, a couple of post cards, and
cute little name cards.

I am a lover of "smalls" so this package/prize
was perfect for me!!  I am so happy to have
won and hope you will visit Deb's blog for
some fun and eye candy!!

Thank you Deb!,  for the prize, but mostly for
your blogging friendship!!!!

Friedship Friday

Meet my new Friend,
Tinker Belle

She is a rescue kitty.  I did not want a rescue
kitty.  Hear me out...I was under the misguided
idea that rescues were feral, or abandoned,
cats/kittens nobody wanted, were put in cages and then someone "rescued" them.

I did not realize there are rescues that
really care for these cats/kittens.  I responded to
an ad on Craig's List and went to look at
another kitten.  The wonderful foster mom
thought I would be more suited for Tinker.
She was so right.  I wanted a lover cat!
My last two cats had been taken from mom
too soon and were not really socialized well.

I wanted a cat that had been "mauled by
children".  By this I meant one that had
been around a family with kids and other pets.
A kitten that had been handled from day
one.  That was why I did not want a "rescue",
because I did not know about places that
foster these little babies.  I don't know why
I was so clueless.  I also found that they
give her the first two vaccines, deworm, check for diseases, put in a micro chip, and spay and
neuter.  Price:  $80 for one  $100 for two.

But I got my lover kitty.  She loves  to be
held and snuggled.  She is not afraid of
every little noise (except new ones) and
she is the perfect kitten for me.

If you are looking for a great rescue for
cats/kittens in Vancouver, WA.
