The Wonders of Blogging

Once upon a time I lived in Mobile, Alabama (from age
11 to 23). I saw this tin on the blog 52Flea and left a
comment. If you have not seen Laura's blog you are
missing a treasure. Laura sent me the tin!!!!!

But, she didn't stop there. She filled the tin with goodies.

She had no way of knowing that I have bunnies in my yard
(mostly) and home. (some of the ones in the yard are real,
wild critters). It just makes me smile to look at this face!

Then a lovely bar of French Milled soap......with my initial.
So very thoughtful.

Next was a sweet little flower frog to add to my collection.

And then the cutest little birdies in the world! Again, there
was no way for her to know that I also collect ceramic
birds!!
She really hit the nail on the head with all my wonderful
goodies. Thank you Laura, so very much.
This is one of the wonders of blogging. I have thought at
times that I might just stop with the blog. You know,
you feel sometimes that no one reads your posts and your
blog isn't as cool as some others, so why bother. But then
I realize that the most important thing about blogging is the
people out there in blogland. Laura really brought that home to
me by sending me these little things "just because". I felt so
included in that big bad world out there...someone I would not
know if she walked in my door, whose voice I've never heard,
is kind enough to send me a tin full of joy.
Laura's blog http://52flea.blogspot.com is an enchanting blog.
Her photography is so beautiful and how she expresses herself
is heartwarming.
Blogging has opened new doors for me in ways I did not expect.
It is it's own world and I am so happy to be a part of it. Whether
or not anyone reads this just doesn't matter, because I have the
fun of putting up pictures and "chatting" about life, expressing
myself, leaving comments and enjoying reading other blogs.
I am grateful to Laura for helping me see this revelation and for
sharing a part of her with me. Thank you Laura!!!
Until next time,
Annette

Thank you for the inspiration to keep blogging myself. Many times I have had the same thoughts; that it isn't as cool or (in my case) as well written as others. But then all it takes is someone reaching out with a small token of goodies, a simple comment at the end of your story, or your same thoughts put before you and we are back in the mood. So thank you Annette. And have a beautiful weekend.

Funny how we were just talking about how we didn't use REAL mail much! Well, maybe we spoke to soon. You received an old fashioned gesture, just like Grandma's B-day card with the $1.00 bill (crisp of course)that she took the time to send you and the other 24 grandkids. It's a small world and life is good today!

love ya xoxo

I go round and round with the *why do I blog* issue myself. Sometimes it all makes sense, and other times not so much!
And you're right - those are the cutest birdies in the world.

What a terribly nice, nice thing for her to do, send you that gift. I get so excited when people introduce themselves that I've blogged with, because we get so 'detached' in our technological age. It shows me we're still a small world after all.
And yes, I very much enjoy reading your blog, so don't stop!!! (please) Lisa :-)

Blogging is a crazy world . . . sometimes great - and sometimes not . . . and then all of a sudden - it can be amazing . . . it is like the path of life isn't it :) . . .liz

Squeeee! That rabbit image is just the best! So very sweet of your blogging friend--whose blog I checked out because of this post and I LOVE it--to send something to you. Several folks have done that for me (and me for them)...nice! And I agree about blogging...sometimes mine seems so random, but I continue to do it because I love sharing a bit of my world with, well, someone! When I started I thought it would be craft oriented but it turned into something altogether different. Thanks for reading! Your blog is lovely, BTW--don't change a thing!

What fun for you! And I suspect Laura had a great time picking things, too!
